  1. The Book of Luke Chapter 21 June 28th, 2009

  2. Luke 23:45 …for the sun stopped shining. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two.

  3. Acts 2:1-3 When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them.

  4. Acts 2:19-20 I will show wonders in the heaven above and signs on the earth below, blood and fire and billows of smoke. The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord.

  5. Acts 4:31 After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.

  6. Acts 11:28 One of them, named Agabus, stood up and through the Spirit predicted that a severe famine would spread over the entire Roman world. (This happened during the reign of Claudius.)

  7. Acts 16:26 Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everybody's chains came loose.

  8. Acts 4:3 They seized Peter and John, and because it was evening, they put them in jail until the next day.

  9. Acts 5:18-19 They arrested the apostles and put them in the public jail. But during the night an angel of the Lord opened the doors of the jail and brought them out.

  10. Acts 8:3 But Saul began to destroy the church. Going from house to house, he dragged off men and women and put them in prison.

  11. Acts 12:4 After arresting him, he put him in prison, handing him over to be guarded by four squads of four soldiers each. Herod intended to bring him out for public trial after the Passover.

  12. Acts 16:23 After they had been severely flogged, they were thrown into prison, and the jailer was commanded to guard them carefully.

  13. Luke 23:1 Then the whole assembly rose and led him off to Pilate.

  14. Acts 9:15-16 But the Lord said to Ananias, "Go! This man is my chosen instrument to carry my name before the Gentiles and their kings and before the people of Israel. I will show him how much he must suffer for my name."

  15. Acts 12:1 It was about this time that King Herod arrested some who belonged to the church, intending to persecute them.

  16. Acts 23:24-26 Provide mounts for Paul so that he may be taken safely to Governor Felix." He wrote a letter as follows: Claudius Lysias, To His Excellency, Governor Felix: Greetings.

  17. Acts 25:13 A few days later King Agrippa and Bernice arrived at Caesarea to pay their respects to Festus.

  18. Acts 26:30 The king rose, and with him the governor and Bernice and those sitting with them.

  19. Acts 3:15 You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead. We are witnesses of this.

  20. Acts 4:33 With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and much grace was upon them all.

  21. Acts 5:32 We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him."

  22. Acts 20:26 Therefore, I declare to you today that I am innocent of the blood of all men.

  23. Acts 26:22 But I have had God's help to this very day, and so I stand here and testify to small and great alike. I am saying nothing beyond what the prophets and Moses said would happen--

  24. Daniel 9:27 He will confirm a covenant with many for one 'seven.' In the middle of the 'seven' he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on a wing of the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him.”

  25. Daniel 11:31 His armed forces will rise up to desecrate the temple fortress and will abolish the daily sacrifice. Then they will set up the abomination that causes desolation.

  26. Daniel 12:11 From the time that the daily sacrifice is abolished and the abomination that causes desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days.

  27. Revelation 11:2 But exclude the outer court; do not measure it, because it has been given to the Gentiles. They will trample on the holy city for 42 months.

  28. Isaiah 14:31 Wail, O gate! Howl, O city! Melt away, all you Philistines! A cloud of smoke comes from the north, and there is not a straggler in its ranks.

  29. Isaiah 19:1 An oracle concerning Egypt: See, the LORD rides on a swift cloud and is coming to Egypt. The idols of Egypt tremble before him, and the hearts of the Egyptians melt within them.

  30. Lamentations 2:1 How the Lord has covered the Daughter of Zion with the cloud of his anger! He has hurled down the splendor of Israel from heaven to earth; he has not remembered his footstool in the day of his anger.

  31. Ezekiel 32:7 When I snuff you out, I will cover the heavens and darken their stars; I will cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon will not give its light.
