The Micro LEAPP: Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Cybershare Report By Jerald Brady (1-29-09)
Project Objectives • To develop a system that takes readings from different sensors on board an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) and wirelessly transmits this data to the ground • Verify the UAV system works by using it to obtain data for projects already in existence • Make the system design easily interchangeable so that other UAVs can easily adapt our system • Provide this data in a public and easily available matter
Our Unmanned Aerial Vehicle The Micro LEAPP Length: 40“ Width: 25“ Height: 30“ Weight: 75 lbs Power: 8 Hp 2-cycle gas Engine Endurance: 6 hours flight time (depending on fuel fraction) Payload capacity: 30 lbs of surveillance equipment Ceiling: 12,000 ft Price: $14,900.
