Explore the cycling of natural radionuclides, including U-series isotopes and rare earth elements, in a changing ocean. Our research focuses on high-latitude regions of the Arctic and Antarctic, with opportunities for activities in temperate zones. We have ongoing projects from intercalibration cruises to detailed studies of particle dynamics, water mass ventilation, and marine polysaccharides' roles. PhD positions are available, and we invite proposals for future research cruises on the RV Polarstern. Join us in advancing the understanding of radionuclide behaviors in marine environments.
