  3. About Loretta: • Born in Dresden, East Germany • Began photographing children about eight years ago • Much of the meaning behind her work remains a mystery – “childhood” • Uses a combination of photography, painting, and digital imaging (Photoshop)

  4. Schooling and awards: • Lux graduated from the Academy of Visual Arts at Munich in the 1990s • She debuted at the Yossi Milo gallery in NYC in 2004 • Received the Infinity Award for Art from the International Center of Photography in 2005
