  1. Budapest Written by Norbert Elsner

  2. Budapest is the capital city of Hungary. It is the largest city of Hungary. The city has 525 km² area and 1,7 million inhabitant (but there were 2 million inhabitants earlier). Budapest became a single city after the unification of Buda, Óbuda and Pest on 17.Nov.1873.

  3. The Danube separates the two parts of the city. Pest is flat, while Buda is hilly. The river has two islands in Budapest, Óbuda Island and Margaret Island. Csepel Island – where I live – is the biggest island of Danube but only the northern part of it belongs to Budapest.

  4. Budapest has ten Danube-bridges like South Railway Bridge, Lágymányosi Bridge, Petőfi Bridge, Szabadság Bridge, Erzsébet Bridge, Lánc Bridge, Margit Bridge, Árpád Bridge, North Railway Bridge and the newest one is the Megyeri Bridge

  5. Budapest is the center of the country’s politic, culture, commerce, industry and transportation. Budapest has many places of interest. The Parliament is the third largest in the world and there are the Hungarian Crown Jewels. There are many famous restaurants and cafés in Bubapest like Gerbeaud Café and Mátyás Pince. In the Castle Hill we can find many museums, the National Széchenyi Library, the Matthias Church and the Fisherman’s Bastion. In Pest the most important sights are Andrássy street, the Oktogon, the State Opera House ó, the City Park with Vajdahunyad Castle and so on.

  6. I think Budapest is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe and I am happy and glad that I can live near to Budapest

  7. The End Thanks for your attention
