  7. The Coalition’s goal: Improving access to inclusive education for CWDs and developing inclusive education in Russia. National Coalition “Education For ALL”is a network of 26 organizations of PWDs and parents of CWDs, which was created in 2005

Coalition’s Activities ■ Implementing joint projects ■ Organizing joint events and seminars, participating in them ■ Organizing internships ■ Video conferences ■ Early meetings to share experiences ■ Leading the public campaign “Children Should Go To School Together” ■ Synchronized events to support inclusive education (June 1, September 1, Inclusive Education Week) ■ Research about the provision of CWDs’ rights to inclusive education ■ Promoting inclusive education in Russian regions ■ “Echo” of the International Disability Film Festival “Breaking down Barriers”

  9. In May 2007 the Educational Campaign about inclusive education was launched“All Children Should go to school Together" The campaign aims to educate the society about inclusive education, about the need to include CWDs in educational processes and to promote inclusive education in Russia.

  15. Results of the polls about the script of PSAs on inclusive education February 2011 93 Moscow residents participated in the poll. The selection was differentiated based on the presence of children aged 5 to 10

  28. Every other year, since 2002, Regional Society of Disabled People “Perspektiva” has organized International Disability Film Festival “Breaking down Barriers.” It’s the most reassuring festival dedicated to people with disabilities.

  29. Success Stories This is Anya Benner. She is 8. This year she went to School #67 in Voronezh together with her friends. The schools, of course, prepared to accept the girl, they furnished an innovational center on inclusive education and thoroughly studied Inclusive Education Guidelines. In this photo Anya is the winner of the creative festival “Among Friends.” Being among friends may be the most important thing in life! And for that education needs to be inclusive!

  30. The first inclusive school in Buryatia welcomed it’s students on September 1

  31. On September 1, 2011 Talalikhin School #480 opened its door for all children without any exceptions. Diana Goryacheva, a wheelchair user, went to the first class in this school

Key Ingredients • Use a comprehensive approach • Portray positive images of children in the community • PWDs and parents of PWDs must play a key role in impacting social change • Provide a useful service for schools, parents and CWDs • Need a skilled cadre of disability and parent activists or you must build this capacity • Important to have advocacy tools to share • Organize national events to build and maintain network
