Receiving Waters cont. • Already identified in your NOI • Underscores the importance to post your NOI online • NOI can also be attached and referenced • This info should be updated annually as you learn more about your system • Specifically, the number of outfalls draining to particular receiving water segments

  9. Eligibility: Endangered Species and Historic Properties • Transfer all info from already completed and authorized NOI • Include any specific info required by the USFWS or state or tribal historical preservation representatives • Include as an attachment if applicable

Example: Scoop the Poop flyer Fill these out last, if at all Ideally this would be a link so you do not have to attach the document Brief description of the document or outreach materials. Flyer, social media post, poster, video, etc. Include as an attachment where applicable Use drop down menu to select audience Choose responsible party or department, use info from your NOI Critical information to keep track of. See next slide for ways to track measurable goals

MCM 2: Public Involvement and Participation Fill these out last, if at all Consider creating a webpage dedicated for your SWMP Find info in NOI Fill these out last, if at all Include info from your NOI. Municipality can link any Annual Report documents online and solicit comment that way or through a press release. Find info in NOI

MCM 2: Public Involvement and Participation • Fill out the text boxes and use the Add BMP button to take credit for additional public participation activities such as websites, hotline, clean-ups, and stormwater committees. Do not overcommit to new activities. Example: Earth Day Cleanup Fill these out last if at all Hyperlink to promotional flyer The Town conducts an annual Earth Day Cleanup at the following locations. Clean ups include the removal of trash and debris from these waterways. DPW, ConComm staff # of promotional flyers distributed # of volunteers attending Amount of debris removed Use this button to add lines for additional BMPs

  16. MCM 3: IDDE This should already be completed • Legal authority typically is in the form of a Town By-Law. Some towns have IDDE and stormwater regulations through their BoH. • Once identified as an illicit discharge the issue is required to be eliminated as expeditiously as possible. If the illicit discharge is unable to be eliminated within 60 days the permittee must report the date of identification and provide a schedule for elimination.

  17. MCM 3: IDDE • There is a example tracking table and section in the IDDE program template • Can be included as part of the written IDDE plan or kept as a stand alone document. • Use this contact info or other locally available contact info to complete the SSO review.
