  18. Summary • Incidence has increased by 20% between 1971 and 2000 by 24% in 1-4 year olds • Survival has increased from 31% in 1971 to 77% in 1997 • It is possible to estimate ‘cure’ by period analysis • ‘Cure’ is estimated to have increased to 71%
