Purpose of Presentation To provide information on the inclusive approach adopted by Sefton in embedding a strong Equality and Diversity strand in the formulation of the 2008-2011 Sefton LAA
Sefton LAA - overview • 2008 Sefton LAA presented with 30 national indicators • Supported by 7 local indicators • Number of third tier indicators identified, including Equalities and Diversity related issues.
Sefton Equalities Partnership • Successful joint initiative between Sefton MBC and Sefton CVS funded via a 3 year Service Level Agreement • Strategic approach to equalities and diversity & community cohesion issues • Places Voluntary, Community and Faith (VCF) Sector at the heart of equalities & diversity issues in public service delivery
