Implementation Plan 2013-2016 • Today: present S-TEK recommendation for FY 14 • Changes to Table 1 (Priority Activities) • Changes to Table 2 (Focused Activities & Specific Actions) • Distribution of anticipated FY14 funds • Next 6 months: S-TEK will revisit for FY 15-16 • Progress/results from previous work increasingly available • Look to build on past projects / efforts of others • Modest to major tweaks needed? Changes in management needs? • S-TEK Subcommittee in-person meeting in January with calls before

FY14 Status • Expected FY14 S-TEK project/activity funds • USFWS: ~$450K (less $105 already committed, see below) • USGS (NW Region): ~$50K • Two projects approved in FY13 require FY14 funds • USFWS (Schaller lead): “Climate Change Vulnerability Assessment of Pacific Lamprey” • Partial funding both years. Needed in FY14 - $25,780 • NOAA (Fullerton lead): “Incorporating Spatial Heterogeneity in Temperature into Climate Vulnerability Assessments for Coastal Pacific Streams” • Full funding FY14 - $80,000

Table 2: Focused Activities (FY13-14) • Augment, integrate and share existing data & information (through data discovery platform) • Align and coordinate the delivery of science with decision-maker needs • Identify information necessary to support landscape-scale planning that involves multiple entities and jurisdictions. • Incorporate existing climate information into “line management activities” • Joint support for partner-initiated projects (Climate Change Adaptation for Subsistence/Cultural Resources -2013) • Five Focused Activities were identified for FY13 and FY14 support, based on the Priority Activities • At least one Focused Activity defined for each of Priority Activities from Table 1 that were highlighted as more important for focus from the NPLCC • Next 2 slides show mapping of these 5 Focused Activities to the Priority Activities in Table 1 • Specific actions were identified (2 RFPs issued in FY13)
