American civil war • The causes of the civil war • civil war took place from 1840-1880 • civil war was caused by unfair taxation, and how the north didn’t like the south using Slaves to do their work. • This caused a great deal of problems, Abraham Lincoln had to create some amendments to help gives slaves some rights. • This revolutionized us by showing us that slavery is bad.

American Civil war cont. • The Emancipation proclamation • January 1, 1863 • “Gave all persons held as slaves within any state or designated part of a state, the people where of shall then be in rebellion against the United States shall be then forever free.” • freed about more than 50,000 slaves • And caused the amendments to be created. • This revolutionized us by starting to give slaves rights, and be considered regular people.

  4. Progressive era • The creation of the airplane • Time: 1880-1918 • the first people to create an airplane was the wright brothers • They built and test the first airplane which revolutionized how we travel and live our lives.

  5. World War 1 • Aviation in World War 1 • time: 1914-1918 • The first war in which aircrafts were being used. • They also created the different types of aircrafts like the fighter, bomber, and attack airplane. • This revolutionized the way we fight.

World War 1 cont. • Flight in the air • time: 1914-1918 • the start of the war and how each side had a limited amount of airplanes. • aircraft technology started to advance • They started to make bigger, faster, and more maneuverable planes. • This also lead to the creation of the rotary engine. • This revolutionized the airplane industry.
