  3. # 1 – 6 • Use a factor tree to break down the radicands. • Remember what the index means

  4. #7 – 8 • Remember properties of radicals • If the entire fraction is under the radical, you can break it up.

  5. # 9 – 11 • Rationalize the Denominator (Comes after dividing radicals in your notes)

  6. #12 - 13 • What’s on the outsides gets multiplied together and stays on the outside. • What’s on the inside gets multiplied together and stays on the inside. • Simplify

  7. #14 – 17 • Combine like radicands. • You may have to simplify first

  8. #18 – 21 • What do you do when you multiply two binomials?!? • You can do the same thing to radicals!
