  4. Problem Students do not know the how to categorize or characterize animals. It is important for students to know and distinguish between animals.

  5. Goal • Lesson Summary: students to know difference between mammals and amphibians • Lesson Objectives: 1)distinguish between mammals and amphibians 2)know characteristics of mammals 3)know characteristics of amphibians

  6. Lesson • As a class I will discuss the differences between mammals and amphibians • We will read Brown Bear What Do You See? And students will identify if animals are amphibian or mammal

  7. Activities • Students will separate flash cards as mammal or amphibian in groups • Students will get on computer individually and print 1picture of mammal or amphibian • Worksheet

  8. Assessment • Mammal vs. Amphibian graded worksheet • Students will present printed picture to class and state: 1)why animal was chosen 2)if animal is mammal or amphibian 3) what characteristics make animal mammal/amphibian

  9. Example • Frog is my favorite animal • A frog is an amphibian • Frogs have no hair
