  1. Chapter III

  2. Statement of The Problem • Main Problem:- Will the foot powder from calamansi eliminate foot odor? • Sub Problems:- Is there a significant difference between the commercial foot powder and the calamansi foot powder in terms of absorbability?-In what way can you determine the absorbability of a powder?

  3. Data Gathered for The RRL • Calamansi Peelings smells like Calamansi even if dried up.-I made an experiment at home. I dried up calamansi peelings and after 5 days of drying, I tried to smell it and still, it smells like Calamansi.

  4. Data Gathered for The RRL • Calamansi Peelings change color if dried. -As I have stated, I tried drying up a few peelings and it turned brown after drying it for more than 5 days. So, we need to find some colorants to help in changing the physical appearance of the powder.

  5. Data Gathered for The RRL • Calamansi Peelings Don’t Get Harder ( crispier ) if Air Dried. -After Air-Drying the calamansi peelings, I tried to pound it using a hammer. Unfortunately, there was no evidence of pulverization. Instead, it was torn into smaller pieces.

  6. Methodology • To test the foot powders, there will be a certain method and a certain equipment to be used. • Dry the calamansipeelings (air dry the calamansi peelings for at least 2 days and sun dry for at least 5days) • After drying the calamansi peelings, pound the dried peelings using mortar and pestle. Make sure that it is pulverized thoroughly.

  7. Methodology • The pulverized product and the commercial foot powder will undergo a test called “absorption test”. • After the test, the calamansi product will be distributed to fifteen (15) random foot powder consumers. And another fifteen (15) will use the commercial one.

  8. Methodology • The consumers will be given questionnaires and these questionnaires will be collected within 1 week after the distribution. • After the collection, the data gathered will be summarized and analyzed then the presentation of the more effective product will take place.
