FRIDAY (!!!), December 14, 2012 Library Rotations Today (Goal: 2-3 Books) • Review Assignment – Create Technical Guide • Today: Create folder, brainstorm ideas, fill out planning sheet, start rough draft • Monday: Work on rough draft • Tuesday: Work on final copy & turn in • Wednesday: Tech Materials Quiz, Finish Final Copy

  2. The Results… In 5th place, with a bunch of random votes…most of the names on the ballot! In 4th place, with 21 votes… PLANTBUSCUS! In 3rd place, with 23 votes… HANS SOLO! In 2nd place, with 24 votes… DIABLO!

  3. And Finally… The winner of the vote for Mr. Plant’s new name… …with 32 votes… …is… MR. PLANT!!!

Create Your Own Technical Guide • You will create a technical/instructional guide to help a reader complete a task of your choice. • Must be about TANGIBLE task, not mundane • Requirements: • 2 DIFFERENT types of visuals • Clear/Clarity – the reader can follow • Bold words, titles, headings; features to emphasize key words • Minimum of 5 steps • Any health/safety warnings clearly labeled
