  3. Modifying Materials • Zipper extender / velcro fasteners • C-clamps to stabilize materials • Dowel grasps on puzzle pieces • Microswitch to activate toys / appliances • Materials are larger or smaller

  4. Modifying or Altering Task Requirement (Change the Rules) • Shake in container vs. wisk • Roller vs. paint brush • Spray water on tempera paint • Reduce # of items to complete (e.g. fewer items - sort/string together)

  5. Prompting / Mediation - Peer/Adult • Proving graduated assistance according to Hierarchy of Prompting Model • Physical Assistance • Materials Cueing • Peer or Adult Modeling • Verbal Prompting
