  1. Introduction To Different Types of Embossing Embossing is a technique of creating a raised pattern, design or symbol on another surface from paper, plastic, and leather to various types of metal, including stainless steel, carbon steel, titanium, aluminum, copper, brass, and gold. The beauty of embossing, which makes it different from other marking and personalized machines like printers, lasers and engravers is that it is done mainly to mark an object (like credit cards, membership cards or a VIN tag) with important information that won’t easily wear and tear over time and lost due to harsh environment. Different types of materials are embossed with different embossing machines, but all these machines work on the same concept. The impression is created by placing the material (need to be embossed) between two dies under a high pressure, so that design on the die transferred to the material.

  2. Embossing provides a look of high grade and gracefulness and immediately transforms any ordinary-looking items, that’s why it has many commercial uses. Such as:- ➢Most of the cosmetic products and gadgets packaging use the embossing services, as this gives a luxurious look to their products which appeals to the buyers. ➢A small embossed design on paper objects like envelopes, cards, letter writing paper, paper gift bags and other kinds of paper-based stationery, makes the product more appealing and hence increased sales. ➢Books for blinds and consumer products having information particularly warnings and hazards embossed in braille for blinds. ➢Fabric industry uses embossing services widely to embossed from curtains, drapes, cushion covers and bedsheets to shirts, dresses, caps and casual wear and much more.

  3. ➢Embossing is a prominent way of personalizing gifts like a diary and a leather wallet. To make the recipient feel extra special, the message or name can be embossed on the gift. TYPES OF EMBOSSING ➢ ➢Blind Embossing: It is a technique in which the color of printed image or design is the same as the color of the surface and also is known as self embossing. ➢ ➢Registered Embossing: This technique is used to place the embossed image in alignment with another embossed image or printed image and raised it through embossing. ➢ ➢Sculpted Embossing: It is a hand-tooled process, used to make a drawing or photograph multi-dimensional and realistic. ➢ ➢Glazing: This process is mainly used on darker colored stock. In this technique, the pressure on the die increased substantially while pressing the die which helps to add the shine on the embossed surface.
