  2. Drawingis a skill and like any skill there are those who have talent at it, but it also can be learned through practicelike in playing a sport. Because learning to see is part of drawing, the key to learning to draw is drawing what you see.

  3. For this some things must be known: • perspective • juxtapossition, • concavity, • proportion, • focal point, • symmetry. Certainly some people have very good memories and can draw without looking at their subject matter, but they have also most likely been practicing for a long time to be able to do that.

  10. UTENSILS FOR ARTISTIC DRAWING • Hard pencils : H’s used for drawing –outlines. • Soft pencils : B’s used for shading • Rulers • French curve • Brushes • Ink • Fine point or broad point marker • Charcoal • Special types of paper

  11. PERSPECTIVE AERIAL OR TONAL PERSPECTIVE LINEAR PERSPECTIVE Figures closer to viewer are bigger and in lower plane the ones farther away are smaller and in upper planes. • Figures that are far away from viewer have lighter tones and are smaller than the figures closer to the viewer.

  12. Ink Drawing Ink drawing has been very popular all throughout time.It was used by ancient Egyptians ,Greeks ,Chinese,Japanese, and Koreans. Several things are important when drawing with ink: • Time Type of Paper • Brushes • Diluted ink

  13. TIME Ink drawing must be done slowly. The errors sometimes can be difficult to fix and certain details need to be done in a delicate way. BRUSHES Obviously each type of brush will create a different type of line which can be thick or thin. Some big areas can be done with big brushes while small areas can be done with small brushes. In certain drawings the white area can be as important as the marks done with ink.

  14. INK • At least three tones of ink should be used in these drawings to give reality, depth and proportion. • Pure ink must be diluted in different quantities of water in order to create different tones. There should be light, medium and dark tones. PAPER There are different types of paper that can be used for ink drawings: watercolor paper, illustratedboard, papyrus, japanesepaper,or hand made paper. Some can create a nice effect on the drawing, much better than just bond paper.
