Digital TV Portfolio > Echo Cancellation DAE: Digital Adaptive Echo cancellation • Cancellation window (0 – 8 us) • DAE cancels any echo present in the cancellation window (multipath propagation). • Maximum Gain Range is -15dB • DAE cancels any echo up to 15dB higher than main signal, resulting an output echo at least 20dB lower than the signal. • DAE does also spectrum equalization in all the cancellation window

Digital TV Portfolio > Echo Cancellation EEC: Enhanced Echo Cancellation • Cancellation window (0.5 – 13 us) • EEC cancels any echo present in the • cancellation window (multipath propagation). • Maximum Gain Range is -24dB • EEC can cancel an echo 24dB higher than main signal, giving an output MER > 24dB. • EEC cancels an echo 20dB higher than main signal, giving an output MER > 27dB. • Doppler cancellation • EEC does the cancellation of echoes with frequency offset deviation compared with the main signal, caused for example, by signal reflections in moving structures).
