  5. The Imperial Center270 Gay Street This Place Matters because it used to be the site of the Imperial Tobacco company of Great Britain and Ireland. This company played a major role in North Carolina’s Tobacco Company for 65 Years. This relates to me because I used to learn new things here everyday.

  6. The Rocky Mount Rail Road

  7. Rocky Mount Railroad station101 Coastline Street This Place Matters because it was built by the Wilmington and Weldon railroad, which at its time was the longest railroad in the world at 161.4 miles of rail.. This relates to me because some of my relatives traveled using this railroad.
