  4. Descriptions • Describe the item on the menu • For example: Hamburger • Fine Dining: 8 ounces of Kobe beef, served over a sesame bun, with gruyere cheese and a chipotle mayonnaise. Served with a side of parmesan French fries $14.95 • Casual Dining: 12 ounce Pattie, served with LTO, with Fries. Cooked to your liking. $9.95

  5. Pricing • Should come up with a couple of different price points to attract a wider array of customers • Determine who you are • Are you fine dining? • If yes, price accordingly • Are you fast food? • If yes, make affordable

  6. Assignment • Individually create a menu for your restaurant • Choose any style of food you wish • Choose any categories • Must have 20 items on menu • Must have a description for each menu item • Must have a price for each menu item • Descriptions, prices, organization must relate to the type of restaurant you are writing a menu for.

  7. Rubric • 20 items (1 point each)= 20 Points • 20 descriptions (2 points each)=40 points • 20 Prices (1/2 point each)=10 points • Layout: • categories, organization, flow, do the items relate to a general theme: 20 points • Creativity: • Is it artistic, would I want to hire you to create my menu, will it attract customers: 10 Points
