  10. TransportationContracts Automobiles & Light Trucks • The 2007 State Contract is projected to be effective November 1, 2006. • Production Cutoff is the date the Manufacturer “cuts off” the ordering of a particular model vehicle. At this point Contractors can no longer order vehicles.

  11. TransportationContracts Automobiles & Light Trucks • Cutoff Dates usually start occurring in March-April. • Recommend Agencies have all vehicles ordered by the end of January. • Contract prices include all delivery, environmental, title & registration costs.

  12. TransportationContracts Alternate Fuel Vehicles use a nontypical form of energy for operation: biodiesel, propane, electricity, ethanol, natural gas and others. Hybrid vehicles combine an electric motor with an internal combustion engine powered by gasoline or diesel fuel. An onboard system recharges the vehicle's batteries so no plug-in charging is needed. Hybrid vehicles as currently manufactured are not alternate fuel vehicles.

TransportationContracts Tires • On June 10, 2005 the Governor signed a bill that required the State Tire Fee to be listed as a separate item on tire invoices (Chapter 403.718 FS). • The current Tire Contract lists the fees for tire disposal (including Goodyear’s internal disposal fee) and charges for: mounting, valve stems & balancing. Except for the State Tire Fee the other fees are optional if you have a facility to mount and dispose of tires.

  25. Energy Contracts On September 13, 2005, the State of Florida signed a Contract with Comdata for a new Fuel Card Services Program which is built on the MasterCard platform. This Contract will provide a Fleet Fuel Card program for Vehicle Fleets owned by State Agencies and Eligible Users in the State of Florida. This Program will include the purchase of fuel, maintenance and any commodity for immediate use by the Eligible User to maintain daily operation of their vehicle fleet.
