Update on Historic Maps • Currently 84,408 FIRMs and FBFMs • Approximately 90% of all maps produced • 1% - 2% very dark and marked “best available” • NFDA has provided hundreds of missing images
Managing Your Account • Online Subscription Service • Feature added April 2007 • Allows users to add or delete subscription items to their accounts • FIRMs, FIS reports, DFIRM DBs • Entire US, State, County, or Community • Online, CD, or paper • Changes go into a pending status • MSC approves subscriptions within one business data

Desktop DFIRM Viewer • Allows users to view DFIRM databases, including Statewide cut of NFHL • Typical layer control and query capabilities of a GIS viewer • Ability to insert comments at specific points • Expected late 2008
National Flood Hazard Layer (NFHL) • Nationwide database of geospatial flood hazard data • Continually maintained flood hazard information from DFIRM and LOMR production • Data available for distribution coming soon • Available for viewing now on the MIP, without LOMRs
Data Availability • DFIRM Viewer currently available through the MSC website homepage • Future enhancements will enable NFHL data downloads from the MSC catalog page
NFHL • NFHL data will be available directly from the MSC Product Catalog
NFHL • Customers will select area of interest by State
Google Earth • NFHL viewable via Google Earth • Uses a KMZ file – interface between Google Earth and WMS • Currently available on MIP under Tools and Links • Access will be via the MSC website in the future (when NFHL data is on the MSC website) • Useful for making public aware of their risk to flood hazards
