We drive on solar energy and green electricity

  4. Cargohopper is a system • Cargohopper is not about hardware. It is a complete logistic concept • The chain of supply is wide going optimized by the use of a swap station only 300 meters from the inner city for the small Cargohopper • This way, it stays in the inner city, looses no time while driving on and backwards to the distribution centre outside the city

  5. Cargohopper combines smart delivery with high-tech techniques • Cargohopper has two types of vehicles. • A small 16 meter long 1.25 meter wide distribution train for parcel delivery. Its speed is 20 km/h with a range of approx. 75 kilometers • A larger 9 meter long tractor trailer unit suitable to carry 10 pallets of 20 warehouse trollies. Its speed is up to 50 km/h with a range of 100+ kilometre • Both vehicles have solar panels on the roof for more range and less emission

Cargohopper as the last shackle in every chain of supply • Gains time and brings less planning effort for every (national) carrier: no need to enter cities within the delivery windows anymore • Very suitable for the delivery internet related goods at a house number level. (that is a fast growing kind of delivery in the Netherlands) • Enhances the sustainable appearance of every parcel service

Cargohopper supports every (local) environmental goal Cargohopper Utrecht: • Removed so far appr. 250.000 delivery van kilometers from the city centre • Reduces the number of traffic jams in small streets • Saved up to 46.000 liters of diesel fuel • Delivered over 153.600 parcels in almost 39.000 drops • Less trucks in the city mean more traffic safety 

  9. Cargohopper exists for 3,5 years now • The first vehicle is completely integrated in the inner city: it almost is a part of the furniture. • It has proven to be profitable. No operational subsidy is needed or provided. • Next week Cargohopper starts a pilot with smart delivery of fresh cooled en froozen goods for the hotel and catering branche
