  3. In 1985: Joseph J. Kimmel presented his Ph.D. Dissertation at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus

  4. In 1985: He wrote a paper on Fish Assessment, published in Environmental Biology of Fishes

  5. In 1986: Kimmel was Director of Fisheries Research Laboratory, CODREMAR

  6. In 1994: Was co writer of a paper for the 47th GCFI Meeting, “Fisheries Management Policy In Puerto Rico: A Progress Report”, Published In 2005

  7. Presented at the 47th GCFI Meeting in 1994 Published 2005

  8. In 1983: Kimmel participated at the 46th CFMC meeting

  15. These are not all, but just a few among the many contributions he has made to the Caribbean Fisheries.

  16. Joe, as friends call him, has also been present at dinner-parties when groups meet to release stress after the Meetings, we can always count on him.
