  2. Basic question Is it possible that all kind of processes can be fully supported by a limited number of components in combination?

  3. The folders of EPR • All applications in EPR are wrapped into folders. The folders contain information and helping tools - adapted to the users needs. The folder are divided in three groups of steering cards • Documents • Work flows • Physical tasks

  4. Three example areas of application: • The folders of e-Construction. Life-cycle application for construction, building and maintenance • The folders of e-Healthcare. Service applications to clients and patients • The folders of e-Community. A family of applications covering all local governmental needs.

  5. Five areas of result: • Co-operation and interoperation • Efficiency and quality in administrative work • Physical service and documented actions visibility • Natural and self-explanatory user interface • Technological – access and net-centric

  6. In Norway: Profor – eGov program for renewal and improvement of local communities: • Development policies • Motivating and competence program • Management program • Introducing new applications • Operating and self-improvement applications

  7. Visions: • Reach local inhabitants – service recipients • Enable service providers to reach communities • Open process - mitigate alienation of employees • Staff enablement – involve white collar workers • Teamwork - co-operation and sharing of tasks • Mobile computing - integration and technology • Integrator of standards - ensuring quality and safety
