  2. Emperor Penguin The Emperor penguin is the tallest and largest out f all other living penguins. These flightless animals live in the surroundings waters. Habitat: The emperor penguins live in colonies on ice in Antarctica. Feathers: emperor penguins have shiny, waterproof feathers that help keep their skin dry. They have more feathers than most other birds. Diet: emperor penguins are meat eaters who hunt in the sea. They eat mostly fish and squid

Facts About Antarctica • In Antarctica the sun sets in march and rises in October. • The first person to discover Antarctica was Henry Bull in 1895. • Plants grow in the ice free areas.(only about 2% of Antarctica is ice free. • Scientist work o all different experiments in Antarctica. • Antarctica is the driest place on earth in some places it has nit rained for thousands of years. • Antarctica is the highest,driest,windest,emptiest,coldest place on earth.

  5. Antarctica climate • Antarctica has 6 months of daylight and 6 months of darkness. The earth revolves around the sun and tilts on it’s axis. During the winter Antarctica is moved away from the sun which causes it to be dark. For the half of the year which is summer Antarctica is facing the sun and getting more direct rays.

  6. Temperature • The lowest temperature recorded in Antarctica is -129F. The warmest temperature ever recorded was 59F. The average summer temperature is 20F and the average winter temperature is -30F.
