HOUSING MEETINGS: OUTLINE, DATES AND VENUES • 18th EU Housing Ministers informal meeting will be preceded by Housing General Directors meeting. • There will be parallel meetings relating to Urban Land Policies, the days before or maybe after the ones devoted to housing. • The 18th EU Housing Ministers Informal Meeting will take place at the end of June 2010, at Toledo, historical city near 70 Km. from Madrid. • The Ministers Meeting will be preceded by a meeting of Housing Directors General, at the end of April, 2010, at Madrid.

  3. THE CONTENTS (1) • The central issue will deal with the rehabilitation of the existing residential stock. Four approaches to this topic: • Energy efficiency and accessibility. • Satisfaction of housing needs. • Creation of employment. • Financing and co-operation between public administrations and private sector. • Role of the architecture.

  4. THE CONTENTS (2) • Housing Statistics, by The Netherlands. • Short interventions by CECODHAS etc. • Other possible topics: • Maybe, short reports by newly created working groups of Housing Focal Points. Specially: relationship between EU legislation and housing and housing policies in EU member countries. • Report on housing policy measures recently adopted by EU member countries. • Technical visit to the “Solar Decathlon”. • Final Communiqué.
