Students • 1000 new students this semester • EndNote and APA format up to Easter • Students book individually for classes at AG block (booking sheets in Ringbinder) • Sign off required for attendance at APA1 and EN1 classes (~ 800 students) • Any class after Easter(chosen by first student to book) • Year 1 mainly but even Postgrad

  3. Web Page Design p1 • CSS- No Cascading Style Sheets • Range of colours: • (menus, backgrounds, highlights) • Animations & Images • No animations & very few images except for … • PowerPoint

  4. Web Page Design p2 • Acessible • No login required • Real Estate: • Screen Width more important than Height • Time • minimal time to download pages

  5. Web Page Design p3 • Metaphors • Ringbinder dividers, Highlighter, PostIt notes • Accessible in different • browsers • platforms • Guides • Images • Challenges

Web Page Design p4 • Windows and Mac • Internet Explorer and other Browsers • Time • Colours (menus, highlights) • Heresy- AUTonline can’t access all students (yet?) • CSS- none • Resolution • screen sizes (800 x 600 and above even in AUTonline) • Accessible in AUTonline • Frames- I love them • Time, time, time
