WLJS, the student-run campus radio station at Jacksonville State University, aims to expand its music rotation by incorporating more Rap/Hip-Hop tracks into the weekday schedule. Although primarily a College/Alternative station, WLJS currently lacks a dedicated Rap/Hip-Hop format, leaving local listeners underserved, especially with competing stations. This initiative seeks to enhance accessibility for fans during regular hours, ensuring that all listeners, including delivery drivers and those without satellite radio, can enjoy hip-hop music. The project’s execution requires minimal budget and relies on electronic communication for music acquisition.
