THE WORLD HAS CHANGED! • THE PRE-COLD WAR WORLD HAS DISAPPEARED! • END OF COLD WAR AND SIGNIFICANT DEVELOPMENTS IN SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY HAS TRANSFORMED THE WORLD THAT WE KNEW, BEYOUND RECOGNITION. • EVEN THE NATURE, CHARACTER AND SPEED OF CHANGE HAS ALSO CHANGED! • IT IS HAPPENING AT AN ALARMING SPEED! • IT IS TRANSFORMING EVERYTHING THAT DISTINGUISHES HUMAN FROM THE REST OF THE ANIMAL KINGDOM. • AT THE CORE OF THIS CHANGE PROCESS IS WHAT WE GENERALLY AND LOOSELY REFER TO AS: GLOBALISATION- A CORE SUBJECT OF THIS CONFERENCE.
