### Illusionary Motion Demonstration: Track the Black Dot with Your Eyes ###
Experience a mesmerizing optical illusion by following a moving black dot on your screen. To participate, click the "slide show" button and observe how the black dot moves. After 3 seconds of tracking, return to this slide by clicking the button that appears. For the best experience, ensure you use a larger display and sit closer to the screen. The effect is influenced by the average luminance and gamma curve of your display. As you track the dot, try moving your head back and forth to enhance the illusion of motion. ###

Demonstration 1. Run “slide show”. 2. Click one of the buttons below. 3. Track the black dot moving around with your eyes. 4. Click the button appearing after 3 second observation to return to this slide. If the black dot does not move smoothly, please slide your pointing finger on the screen and track it. Disks in the average luminance produce the best illusion. To enhance the effect, use a large display and get closer to the screen. Please note that the average luminance differs, depending on the gamma curve of your display. If you get the effect, try observing the slide with back-and-forth head movement. The disk pattern seems to shrink (expand) when your head approaches (recedes from) the screen. Disk luminance Dark Average Bright
