  5. Heavy snowfall from Alabama to New York • Strong winds up and down the east coast • Cancellation of 25% of nations flights • Freeways shutdown • Millions without power

  6. Outcome • More than a foot of snowfall • 145 record lows set in 48 hours • 270 people died • 6 billion + in damage • 26 states affected • Over half of the nations population were affected
