  27. College Readiness Program Overview • High school teachers become “certified” in the program by successfully completing the summer workshop training requirements. • Content is available online in MML for high school Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Advanced Math/Precalculus, Calculus, and 6-8th grade math. • Teachers “certified” in Advanced Math/Precalculus have the option to complete additional workshops (1 fall and 1 spring) and teach courses for dual credit.

  28. College Readiness Program Certification Requirements • Actively participate in the entire 8-day College Readiness summer workshop. • Select a course to specialize in and complete all of the homework in that course with 100% accuracy by the end of the workshop. • Earn a score of 90% or greater on the course Post-Test by the end of the workshop. • Complete and return the workshop evaluation form.

  29. The Plan College Readiness Program Summer Workshop • Professional development for 8-days during the summer in LSU Math Lab; DE teachers attend two additional days of workshops • LSU math faculty and high school mentor teachers facilitate workshop (LSU Lab School, Tara, Sherwood) • Workshop content 1. Technology training in MyMathLab • Pedagogy of redesigned course delivery 3. Content mastery of math homework for teachers
