  7. PRESENT TENSE Used to talk about how things are now. Used to talk about things that happen habitually (all the time).

  8. TODAY: present tense (things happening now, or things that happen habitually)singular(talking about individuals, not groups of people)Example: I go to school.

  9. Conjugation Just like in English… … you change the form: El verbo: SER Yo SOY alta. Tú ERES alta. Ella ES alta. The verb: TO BE • I AM tall. • You ARE tall. • She IS tall. IN SPANISH YOU WILL DO THIS FOR EVERY VERB!!!

  10. Present Tense Irregularverbo: SER(used for permanent characteristics)

CONJUGATION: present tense, singular • the verb: HABLAR (to speak) • Take off the –AR ending • HABL- is the “stem” • Add new endings on to the stem based on who is doing the verb. • If “I” am doing the action, add –o • If “you” are doing the action, add –as • If “he,” “she,” or “it” is doing the action, add -a
