  2. …He was to become a legend, but his father, who he would in time find out had kept even greater secrets from him, never spoke of the darkness fallen upon the world,…

  3. the darkness that only he, torak of the wolf clan could defeat…

  4. …and then his father is killed by a slave of the soul eaters, seven hugely powerful mages intent on enslaving and controlling the forest and all that lay beyond it.

  5. having sworn to his father to find the mountain of the world spirit or die trying, torak sets off, alone and devastated.

  6. Then he meets wolf.

  7. Wolf is the guide that torak’s father said would find him, and his closest companion.

  8. One day, while torak and wolf are hunting together in the forest, they are captured by the raven clan for a crime that they did not mean to commit or know that they committed.

  9. While being held captive at the raven camp, torak learns of his amazing destiny that his father never told him of, and meets renn. Renn was to become his helper, protector, and friend. With her help, torak escapes from the raven clan. And so begins an epic tale of adventure, courage, friendship, loyalty, treachery, loss, and evil.
