This guide provides detailed instructions on how to access IBM Rational Rhapsody through remote access via VPN. Start by initiating the VPN connection through spsu.edu, selecting 'Client Apps' from the toolbar, and downloading the necessary software. For Mac users, downloading the Microsoft Remote Desktop application is essential. The guide continues with instructions on installing VMware View Client and connecting to the appropriate server. Ensure to save your work on a flash drive to maintain your projects within the virtual machine environment.

Remote Access • Start VPN through connect.spsu.edu • Select ‘Client Apps’ on the toolbar on the right top of page • Then click ‘Start’ on the Network Connect – this will download the software to start the VPN. You’ll see a gold lock on your taskbar once the session is started. • NOTE: If you’re on a Mac, you’ll need to download the Microsoft Remote Desktop application – since the VMware will be expecting that protocol – even if your Mac already has it’s own Remote Desktop app
Remote Access (cont.) • Install VMware View Client – Open a new browser tab • URL: http://cse.spsu.edu/vlabs • Select platform appropriate client variant • Windows (32 and 64), Mac, iPad, Android, Ubuntu, etc • Download and install
