  9. Surprises that have arisen from visiting the nurseries and schools • Where children sleep • The layout of the nurseries • Locks on the doors • The amount of adults in the room

  10. Surprises continued.. • The age children start education • The amount of money spent in settings • There are rooms for parents to go in settings

  11. Transition in England compared to other countries • Children go through more transitions • Transitions are smooth and guided • In nursery, each child has an observation book which is sent to school so the teachers know about each child before they start.

  12. What we can take away with us from this experience (What we have learnt) • How to guide children from an early age • Give the children more freedom • Listen to the children • Let children decided upon the theme of activities • Let children be children
