Brucellosis, caused by the Brucella bacterium, primarily spreads through consuming infected foods and contact with sick animals. Human-to-human transmission is rare, sometimes occurring through sexual contact or from mother to child. Infectious exposure requires as few as 10 organisms, commonly found in cattle, sheep, and pigs. Symptoms may include sweating, joint pain, fatigue, and respiratory issues. Effective prevention measures are essential. This presentation by Chef Tiffine will cover Brucella’s transmission, symptoms, and preventive strategies.
