Geologic Features • Large amounts of trees densely packed togethere • Rain forests are located in tropical locations near the equator
Temperature • The temperature of the Rain Forest is normally between 68-93°F • The humidity ranges between 77 and 88% • The Rain Forest has an average expectance of a 100 inches of rain a year
Human Impact • Humans established thriving community with rapid population growth with agricultural Development • But people are now destroying the rainforests for wood and other resources.
Plants • The rain forest is home to a wide variety of plants such as Bengal Bamboo, Durian, and Jambu • There are layers of the rain forest growth such as canopy layer,, shrubs layer, and herb layers • These plants are generally covered in epiphytes which are plants that roots grow above ground and are supported by another plant
Animals • Animals include a wide variety of birds, mammals, and reptiles. • Animals include the Red Eyed Tree Frog, Three Toed Sloth, Toucan, and the Leafcutter Ant.
Commercial Value • Large area for farming • Many plants have medical value and are medical used in many medicines • Trees in the rainforest can be used to make lumber for building stuff
