Why? • How does Hamlet react to seeing the ghost? • Why doesn’t Horatio want Hamlet to go with the ghost? • How has Horatio’s attitude toward the ghost changed since the first scene? • What qualities of personality does Hamlet show in this scene? (Use examples!)

  3. Act I, Scene V • What does the ghost reveal about his current situation? • Describe how the ghost treats Hamlet. (Use textual evidence!) • What does Hamlet resolve to do as the result of the encounter with the ghost? • How does what we learn about Claudius in this scene compare to the man we met in Act I, scene ii?
