Purpose for Planning • If you don’t know where you’re going how will you know when you get there? • Ultimately saves time • Reduces the tendency toward crisis management and feelings of being overwhelmed: -Establishes Priorities -Resource Allocation -Promotes reflective thought • Builds staff’s commitment • Helps other staff members and leadership to see the need/use for a comprehensive quality program
