The disease causes respiratory illness (like the flu) with symptoms such as a cough, fever, and in more severe cases, difficulty breathing. You can protect yourself by washing your hands frequently, avoiding touching your face, and avoiding close contact (1 meter or 3 feet) with people who are unwell.

Here’s a little background of Coronavirus — It was originated in Wuhan, the capital of the province Hubei, which is under strict quarantine as of now. The disease spread from China to Italy and then was passed on to other countries resulting in the COVID-19 outbreak in 192 countries. The second most affected country after China is Italy, which is dealing with more than 59,000 cases and currently, there is a nationwide lockdown around the globe.

It also spreads when a person touches a surface or object that has the virus on it, then touches their eyes, nose, or mouth.
