  3. About Southwestern Oregon You will be visiting home of the hundred valleys of the Umpqua River. From here you can: • Climb a mountain, raft a river or catch a salmon in some of the most picturesque areas of the Pacific Northwest. • Enjoy the moderate climate among lush forests and cascading waterfalls. • Visit the scenic Pacific coast and the renowned Oregon Dunes. • Marvel at the incomparable beauty of Crater Lake, one of the 7 natural wonders of the world. • Visit urban centers like Eugene and Portland and major University campuses.

  4. Your Course of Study The Institute provides a two week intensive study of American business - its institutions, processes, culture and language through: • Discussions and workshops. • Guest speakers and panels with business, government, community and academic leaders. • Site visits to American businesses from small business to major corporations, including the timber industry, agri-business, retail and manufacturing. • Visits to major Oregon Universities and discussion of their advance degree programs. • Weekend excursions to the Oregon coast and Crater Lake.

Optional Bonus Trips • Extend your American experience with one of these optional tours: • Visit the greater Los Angeles area, home of Hollywood and Disneyland. • Take a scenic train ride to Seattle, Washington, the “Emerald City”. • Tour San Francisco, the “City by the Bay” and one of the most picturesque cities in the world.

  6. Eligibility, Dates and Fees • Fluent in English • Completed two years of undergraduate study in a business-related field • Dates: August 12, 2011 through August 26, 2011 • Tuition: $1,200 USD • Deadline to register : June 15, 2011.

  7. Additional Information • It is assumed that you will be traveling on a tourist Visa • The Institute will provide an invitation letter to facilitate your Visa application. • You are responsible for travel to and from the United States. • Your arrival destination is Eugene, Oregon. • Your departure may be from Eugene, Oregon or some other location if you decide to extend your stay. • Emergency medical insurance is provided by the Institute.
