  1. The Book of Colossians “God Has Delivered Us” by Pastor Fee Soliven Colossians 1:11-15 Thursday Night June 19, 2013

  2.  11 strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy;

  3. 12 giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light.

  4. 13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,

  5. 14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.

  6. 15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.

  7. 11 strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy;

  8. 1 Corinthians 4:20 "For the kingdom of God is not in word but in power"

  9. Acts 1:8 "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."

  10. Longsuffering: enduring injury, trouble, or provocation long and patiently.

  11. 2 Corinthians 6:4-7 4 But in all things we commend ourselves as ministers of God: in much patience, in tribulations, in needs, in distresses, 5 in stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labors, in sleeplessness, in fastings; 6 by

  12. purity, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Spirit, by sincere love, 7 by the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armor of righteousness on the right hand and on the left...

  13. 12 giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light.

  14. Genesis 13:14-17 14 And the LORD said to Abram, after Lot had separated from him: "Lift your eyes now and look from the place where you are--northward, southward, eastward, and westward; 15 for all the land which

  15. you see I give to you and your descendants forever. 16 And I will make your descendants as the dust of the earth; so that if a man could number the dust of the earth, then your descendants also could be numbered. 17 Arise, walk in the land through its length and its width, for I give it to you."

  16. Numbers 26:52-56 52 Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying: 53 "To these the land shall be divided as an inheritance, according to the number of names. 54 To a large tribe you shall give a larger inheritance, and to a small tribe

  17. you shall give a smaller inheritance. Each shall be given its inheritance according to those who were numbered of them. 55 But the land shall be divided by lot; they shall inherit according to the names of the tribes of their fathers. 56 According to the lot their inheritance shall be divided between the larger and the smaller."

  18. Romans 8:15-26 15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father." 16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are

  19. children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs--heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together. 18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be

  20. compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. 19 For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who

  21. subjected it in hope; 21 because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs

  22. together until now. 23 Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body. 24 For we were saved in this hope, but hope

  23. that is seen is not hope; for why does one still hope for what he sees? 25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.

  24. 13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,

  25. Luke 22:53 "When I was with you daily in the temple, you did not try to seize Me. But this is your hour, and the power of darkness."

  26. 14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.

  27. Ephesians 1:7-9 7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace 8 which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence,

  28. 9 having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself...

  29. 15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.

  30. John 1:18 "No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him"

  31. Psalm 89:27 "Also I will make him My firstborn, The highest of the kings of the earth"

  32. Hebrews 1:1-4 1 God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, 2 has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through

  33. whom also He made the worlds; 3 who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the

  34. Majesty on high, 4 having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

  35. 1 Corinthians 15:47-49 The first man was of the earth, made of dust; the second Man is the Lord from heaven. 48 As was the man of dust, so also are those who are made of dust; and as is the heavenly Man, so also are those

  36. who are heavenly. 49 And as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly Man.

  37. Romans 9:5 "of whom are the fathers and from whom, according to the flesh, Christ came, who is over all, the eternally blessed God. Amen"

  38. Romans 10:12 "For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him"

  39. Revelation 1:5-6 5 and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, 6 and has made

  40. us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
