  3. CORPORATE PROFILE • United Card Service Joint-Stock Company (UCS) is a major processing company in Russia. Our services encompass issuing and servicing of bank cards including those of the leading international payment systems. • The advantages of UCS as a specialized processor make it possible to provide an all-out service for all clients for whom issuance and acceptance of cards as a means of payment are of strategic importance.

COMPANY HISTORY • 1969 - First.plastic cards(Diners Club, American Express) appeared in the Intourist network of hotels and stores. • 1992 –Former Intouristspecialists establish United Card Service(UCS). • 1992 - 2000.The market of card issuance and servicing is actively developing, taking in all consumer sectors and above all retail trade, hotel and restaurant business. • 2000. UCS passed VISA International и MasterCard International certification and begins to service bank card issuing programs.

UCS TODAY • Theshareof UCS in the bank card acceptance market is 40%. • The total UCS acquiring turnover in 2007 exceeded US$ 3.5 billion. • In 2007 UCS processed about 25 million transactions in retail trade. • The Company provides services to about 50 thousand Merchants, where Point-of-Sale terminals and electronic cash-register devices for card acceptance are installed.

UCS TODAY • Currently there are over 80 Russian and foreign banks among the Company’s customers, 10 of them are Principal Members of International Payment Systems. • The total volume of cards issued by UCS client banks is around 7 million. • In 2007 the card issuance turnover exceeded US $ 8 billion.. • At the end of 2007 UCSserviced over 2400 ATMs.

MERCHANT ACQUIRING UNITED CARD SERVICE is the oldest merchant acquiring processor in the Russian market with more than a 30-year experience of servicing plastic cards, including cards of the leading international payment systems: The advantages of co-operation with UCS in the sphere of merchant acquiring have already been appreciated by the leading retail networks, international hotel chains and by many other merchants. • VISA International, • MasterCard Worldwide, • Diners Club International, • JCB International.

  13. MERCHANT ACQUIRING • To our customers we offer the widest possible and complex range of acquiring equipment and services.. Among them are: • installation and servicing of POS-terminals for card acceptance • training of personnel in the UCS Training Centre; • round-the-clock customer support in the Authorization Centre • realization of Loyalty Programs on the basis of acquiring equipment • issuance and support of Gift Cards and other prepaid products; • organization of acceptance of mobile payments to more than 50 companies – providers of various services.

UCS TRAINING CENTRE One of the imperative stages of merchant acquiring system application is training of the personnel of the Merchants serviced by the Company in a specially established UCS Training Centre. • UCS provides training of personnel of client companies and above all of sales personnel and cashiers who work with plastic cards. • The training is dedicated to issues of servicing payments made with the use of cards of various payment systems, and to security of card payments. • According to the VISA International and MasterCard Worldwide representatives’ evaluation, today our training program is the best in the Russian market.

  15. LOYALTY PROGRAMS Nowadays loyalty programs are increasingly in great demand in the consumer market. UCS is ready to offer its existing and potential customers effective solutions for the support of such programs. • Every Loyalty Program is aimed at additional motivation of consumers based on their activity information. • The history of purchases is fixed on special bonus cards that are issued and serviced by UCS. • The operation logistics of a loyalty program can be widely adjusted depending on the marketing goals of the clients.

GIFT CARDS • A «Gift Card» for a jubilee, wedding, New Year and other events is a product in great demand in the market and successfully operates for our partners. • The Gift Card encoding and accounting system is realized on the basis of standard acquiring equipment and does not require any special skills. • From the moment the project started over a million prepaid products have been issued for UCS customers. • In 2007 the Gift Card payments turnover exceeded 750 million Roubles.

GIFT CARDS United Card Service is ready to offer its partners a full range of gift card issuing and servicing: • issuance and personalization of cards with prefixed or arbitrary face-value; • organization and maintenance of gift card data bases; • processing, including on-line authorization; • submission of transaction reports; • individual card design.

E-COMMERCE ACQUIRING UCSoffers safe solutions related to acceptance of payments via Internet : The networking of merchants to Internet acquiring services is performed with the use of SSL, 3-DSecureprotocols and closed banking networks. • e-commerce maintenance with the necessary level of protection of Internet transactions; • risk control system including fraud monitoring.

CO-OPERATION WITH BANKS Being a VISAand MasterCard certified vendor, the Company offers to its partner banks services related to bank card issuance, ATM and POS-terminal maintenance, and a full range of merchant acquiring possibilities. The use of the UCS technology enables the banks to organize servicing of plastic cards more effectively, in a short time-span and at comparatively low costs for introduction of new services.

BANK CARD ISSUANCE • United Card Service holds all the necessary certificates for the issuance of VISA cards (official status - TPP) and MasterCard cards (official status -MSP) on the basis of its own personalization centre. We offer a full range of personalization services: • The procedures of card personalization, PIN generation and PIN-mailing fully comply with the strict requirements of the international payment systems. • magnetic stripe cards; • chip cards (EMV); • cards with black and white and colour photograph; • affinity, club and discount cards.

  22. ATM AND POS-TERMINAL NETWORKING Models of all most frequently used ATMs, including Diebold, Wincor Nixdorf, NCR, can be connected to the UCS Processing Centre. ATMs and POS-terminals can perform the following operations: Moreover ATMs can be used for Cash-In operations and money transfers from one card account to another. • cash disbursement in various currencies; • balance on the bank card account; • mini-statement on the recent card operations; • acceptance of mobile payments.

  23. MOBILE PAYMENTS The system of acceptance of payments to providers of various services, such as mobile operators, Internet and TV-providers, has been realized and successfully operates on the basis of ATMs and POS-terminals.. • Payments can be made both with the use of a card and by cash. • When a payment is made with a card the ATM can also charge the payer additional commissions in favour of the bank.

PROCESSING SERVICE The UCS Processing Centre provides complete support of card transactions including ATM and bank branch terminals maintenance. • The Centre’s operation is certified by all international payment systems and complies with all the requirements for fail-safety. • UCSis insured for processing risks with several insurance companies. • UCShas a great experience in migrating bank card portfolio from other processing centres.

REMOTE ACCESS TO PROCESSING • Partner banks are provided a possibility to get connected directly to the UCS Processing Centre’s databasein order to: • The solution offered by UCS brings the bank closer to the functionality of an in-house processing centre at minimal financial costs.. • obtain on-line information on transactions made, • manage the bank’s card databases and devices.

  28. REMOTE ACCESS TO PROCESSING The on-line remote access system would enable the bank to : • get information on funds available and transactions made; • manage card floor limits; • set limitations on certain operations; • block and unblock cards; • manage the bank’s ATMs’ operations; • monitor issuing risks; • “swap” the tying in of cards, which allows for their immediate replacement (this is especially important for regional banks).

OTHER SERVICES FOR BANKS «Mobile bank» (SMS-service) An SMS message is sent to the cardholder’s mobile phone each time a transaction is made, which contains brief information on the amount of transaction and the balance. 24-hour Customer Support Service A customer can telephone the service, give the code word and : • get information on the balance of the card account; • get information on current transactions and authorizations related to the card; • block the card in the Company’s data base.

OTHER SERVICES FOR BANKS Consultations on dispute resolutions and claims UCS is highly experienced in matters related to disputes of facts of transactions made with cards of international payment systems and is ready to give the relevant consultations to its customers. Issuing Risks Fraud Monitoring System A UCS’s client bank can perform an on-line monitoring of operations made with the cards issued both in the bank’s acquiring network and in the global VISA International and MasterCard Worldwide networks. UCS is open to consider any requirements of banks related to the range of services offered.
