  2. Hva er RSS? • RSS is a family of Web feed formats used to publish frequently updated content. An RSS document, which is called a "feed" contains a summary of content from an associated web site. RSS makes it possible for people to keep up with their favorite web sites in an automated manner that's easier than checking them manually.

  3. Hva er ALEPH RSS? • En måte å kommunisere med bibliotekets brukere om nye titler: • RSS (XML) • Favorittsøk / SDI (E-post) • Nyhetssøk (HTML)

  4. Hvilke RSS finnes i ALEPH? • http://www.aleph.no/rss.html

  5. Hva kommer med i RSS-en? • Titler som har eksemplarer som har blitt opprettet i løpet av dagen. • Det finnes en alternativ metode med bruk av tilvekstdato. Med denne metoden må biblioteket gjøre en manuell merking av eksemplaret (og dermed tittelen). Hvis denne metoden skal brukes må det avtales med Bibits.

  6. Avgrensninger • ADM-base. Til bruk for bibliotek som deler en bibliografisk database, for eksempel Hallingdal, Vest-Telemark. • Filial. • CCL-søk. • CCL-søk kan kombineres med plassering (ADM-base eller filial).

  7. Nye RSS som ikke finnes på listen • Kunder med egen server kan definere sine egne RSS. • Sentraldrift-kunder må sende ønsker til Bibits.
