  2. Start of the Franchise The franchise got off to a slow start, however that is typical of most new teams in the league. It took them a few years but they became a prominent team in the league after multiple seasons. This was Miami’s original logo used at the beginning of the franchise.

  3. The Big Three The Heat re-signed Wade, Bosh’s contract expired with the Raptors and they signed him from free agency. LeBron’s contract expired with the Cavaliers, they signed him from free agency as well. In 2010 the Miami Heat acquired “The Big 3”. LeBron James, Dwayne Wade, and Chris Bosh.   4. 2010-11 Playoff Run • The Heat made a playoff run in the 10-11 season, after freshly acquiring “The Big 3”. They beat the 76ers, Celtics, Bulls, and made it all the way to the NBA Finals only to lose to the Dallas Mavericks.
