  2. What is assistive technology? Any item, piece of equipment, or product system that is used to increase, maintain, or improve functional capabilities of a child with a disability. Helps to improve learning and participation in activates.

  5. Considerations for Assistive Technology To determine the needs of a child you have to consider some things. Learning styles Capability

  6. General classroom Assistive Technology is seen in almost every general classroom today. Helps catch signs of learning problems Game

  7. Special education Helps children with learning problems and disabilities Helps children to accomplish an educational task

  8. Learning disabilities Trouble with reading and writing Attention deficits Autism Dyslexia

  9. Alternate Keyboards Shows pictures on the keyboard. Press the picture and it will spell out the word. Also has large letters to spell out words
