  1. Intro and Status of BCC22-Oct-2010 C.Haber

  2. AUW • Mon 16:30 - 18:30 Strip Modules (Barrel and Forward including DS) • Tues 11-13 staves/petals electrical • Tues 14-16 staves/petals electrical • Tues 16:30-18:30 ID Strip Staves/petals mechanical, thermal and cooling I • Thurs 9-13:00 ID Strip Staves/petals mechanical, thermal and cooling II • 2+4+6 hours • Need to hear soon about requests for presentation slots • Hope to have considerable time for discussion

  3. BCC • Much discussion and study of BCC in the past few weeks • Issues • deviation from 50% duty cycle for BCC on the stavelet • Asymmetry of 80 MHz DCLK output • BCC in use on 8 hybrid stavelet • Next submission is Nov 1

  4. Transmission Test Stavelet

  5. 8ns

  6. 51.7% 55.2%

  7. BCC • DCLK asymmetry understood as an effect of capacitance in the multiplier circuit. Can be reduced through circuit changes. External delay adjustments in the HSIO can compensate for any residual asymmetry • Duty cycle effect is from to an excessive offset at the AC coupled BCO input, due to external components. 50% duty cycle shown with revised input network. • Based upon these results plan to submit BCC V2 on Nov 1.

  8. Plans • Full length stave core in fabrication using co-cured bus cables (Thermo design). • Plan to use this in a chain of 24 BCC test • BCC boards in assembly now • Measure duty cycle with revised components on a full length transmission line • Hope to have results before AUW

  9. HSIO • HSIO boards have been shipped • Interface boards assembled at SLAC, begin testing now • 15 EOS ready for assembly, waiting on connectors
